At the end of 2022 we said goodbye to Cara McFarlane, our Communications and Events Officer. Cara made a huge impact in her time with us; leading the development of our website, keeping members up to date with all of our activities and playing a key role in the organisation of the inaugural NSW Cancer Conference last September. She will be missed, but we look forward to working with Cara in her new role as the Events Manager at the Cancer Institute NSW.

Already in 2023 we have announced our Translational Partners Fellows and celebrated our Director Professor Anna DeFazio being recognised with an AM in the Australia Day Honours, as well as congratulating eight of our early and mid-career researchers who were awarded Early Career or Career Development Fellowships from the Cancer Institute NSW.

We wish all our members a productive and successful 2023. We look forward to working with you and seeing you at events throughout the year.
